A number out of 100, in three bands — Strong from 71, Watch from 41, Needs action below that — built from nine factors: revenue trend, expense ratio, active customers, revenue against ad spend, connected sources, customer concentration, repeat customers, recurring revenue and labour cost. The thresholds are your trade's, not a universal one: a 60% expense ratio reads as lean for a roofing crew and high for a tax office. The revenue trend compares this month with the same days of last month, so the score does not fall on the first of the month. Four things to do, in the order a morning runs, each a door: Today — jobs with an appointment today, with the first start time (opens the Schedule); Overdue — invoices past their due date, with the amount (opens Invoices); Needs a date — jobs on the board with no appointment yet (opens Jobs, where that section leads); Follow up — quotes sent three or more days ago with no reply (opens Quotes). Each row also carries the count behind it — how many jobs are on the board, how many invoices are awaiting payment, how many quotes are out. They are read from the same records as the pages they point to, in your timezone, so a past-due count means past due today where you are, not in London, and "first at 8:00" is your crew's clock. A zero is a real answer: it means DeskOps counted and found nothing waiting.

If your bank is connected, cash on hand is the bank's own balance and refreshes with the connection. If it is not, it is the figure you typed and the date you typed it — Home says "entered 26d ago" rather than pretending a number from last month is today's. Unknown stays unknown: DeskOps never invents a zero for a business whose cash it cannot see.
