Finding your way

Every page, where it lives, and who can open it.

How do I get around DeskOps / where is the menu?

ComputerThe left sidebar lists every page, grouped into Overview, Money, Grow, Planning and Account, with Boost and Settings pinned at the bottom. Press Cmd-K (Ctrl-K on Windows) anywhere to open the command palette and jump straight to a page.
PhoneThe bottom bar holds Home, Get Paid, Work, Ask Des and Menu for an owner; + New at the top of the screen adds something. Every other page is behind the Menu tab, which opens the full list in groups with a search box — type what you want ("EIN", "invite", "storage") and it takes you there.

Both surfaces hide pages your role cannot open, so what you see is what you can actually reach. On a phone the sidebar is replaced entirely by the bottom bar and its Menu tab; the mobile layout takes over at 780 pixels wide or narrower, which is every phone in portrait. A field seat's bottom bar is My Jobs, Schedule and Ask Des instead.

What pages does DeskOps have?

ComputerSidebar, top to bottom — Overview: Home, Ask Des, Jobs, Schedule, Get Paid, Customers, Emails. Money: Money, Expenses, Taxes, Margin. Grow: Goals, Team, Ads. Planning: Foresight, Wealth. Account: The Record, Proof. Pinned at the bottom: Boost, Settings.
PhoneThe same list in the Menu tab, plus Businesses (only when you own more than one business) and Discover.

Ads only appears once the Ad Integrations add-on is on. Jobs & Ops appears for fence contractors only, under Overview. Businesses needs a second business. Everything else is there from day one.

Getting around

Where do I see my revenue / money coming in?

ComputerMoney in the sidebar (the URL is /revenue). Payments in, daily and monthly totals, your payment sources and their sync status, and the recent ledger.
PhoneMoney in the Menu tab, same page.

Money is where connected processors land. If a payment came in outside a connected processor, log it by hand — see "How do I log a payment I took in cash".

Getting around

Where are my invoices, quotes and recurring plans?

ComputerGet Paid in the sidebar (the URL is /books). It has three tabs across the top — Invoices, Quotes, Recurring.
PhoneGet Paid on the bottom rail, same three tabs.

The page used to be called Books and the old links /invoices, /quotes and /recurring still work — they redirect into the right tab of Get Paid. Deep links look like /books?tab=invoices.

Getting around

Where is Des, the assistant?

ComputerAsk Des in the sidebar (the URL is /assistant). Chat, voice and Tools all live on that one page.
PhoneAsk Des on the bottom rail, same page.

Getting around

Which pages can only the owner open?

ComputerWealth, Foresight, Taxes, Portfolio, Boost, Messaging, Settings, Jobs and Jobs & Ops are owner-only. A team member does not see them in the sidebar and cannot reach them by typing the URL.
PhoneSame list — those rows are simply absent from the Menu tab for a team seat.

That perimeter is drawn around account controls, money administration and personal financial information: your net worth, your tax position, your own job pricing, your billing, and customer message bodies. Everything operational stays open to the team.

Getting around

Where do I see profit and margin?

ComputerMargin in the sidebar under Money (the URL is /margin). Expenses lives right above it.
PhoneMargin in the Menu tab under the same group.

Margin needs both sides of the ledger to mean anything. If revenue is landing but no costs are attached, DeskOps will not print a margin percentage — it says the margin is unknown rather than showing a fake 100%.

Getting around

Where is my cash forecast?

ComputerForesight in the sidebar under Planning (the URL is /foresight). Owner-only, and it is a paid add-on.
PhoneForesight in the Menu tab.

Foresight is the 365-day cash calendar and costs $9/month on top of the plan. Buy it on Boost.

Getting around

Where do I manage my team?

ComputerTeam in the sidebar under Grow (the URL is /team). Members, pay rules, the commission ledger and Mark Paid for payouts.
PhoneTeam in the Menu tab.

Inviting a new person is a Settings job rather than a Team-page job on mobile — see "How do I invite a team member".

Getting around

Where do I add or find a customer?

ComputerCustomers in the sidebar under Overview. /customers?new=1 opens the page with the new-customer form already open.
PhoneCustomers in the Menu tab, or use the Menu tab's search and pick Add customer.

Customers from every connected processor are unified into one list, so the same person paying you through Stripe and through QuickBooks shows up once.

Getting around

Where are my goals?

ComputerGoals in the sidebar under Grow (the URL is /goals).
PhoneGoals in the Menu tab.

You get one active goal per metric — revenue, customers, cost per lead and so on — so the page never turns into a wish list nobody looks at. Progress tracks against your real numbers as they land, and hitting one is called out rather than passing silently.

Getting around

Where is the Boost page?

ComputerBoost, pinned at the bottom of the sidebar next to Settings (the URL is /boost). Two panes — Add-ons, and Plan.
PhoneOpen Boost in the Menu tab. Settings, then Plan & billing, then Upgrade & add-ons also lands there.

Boost is where every paid extra lives: the Plan pane for the plan rungs that add assists and storage, and the Add-ons pane for Foresight, Ad Integrations, AI Partner Email, The Record, additional businesses, team seats and voice-call packs. It is owner-only. Deep links go straight to one add-on, for example /boost?tab=addons#foresight.

Getting around

Where is the Proof page?

ComputerProof in the sidebar under Account (the URL is /proof).
PhoneProof in the Menu tab.

Proof is the source-backed record of what DeskOps has actually done for the business — what is connected, what was imported, what has been organised and verified — plus a list of the things DeskOps can do that have not been used yet. On a brand-new account it reads as First steps: every row that is not set up yet is a button that takes you straight to the place that sets it up. It is the page to open when the question is "what is left to do?" or "prove this number came from somewhere". Owner and team members can both see it — it is business proof, not personal finances.

"Progress" was the old name for this page (the sidebar said Progress while the page itself said Your Proof Ledger). Same page, same route: /proof.

Getting around

Where is Settings?

ComputerSettings, pinned at the bottom of the sidebar. It opens on a list of rows grouped under Workspace, Plan & team and Account, with Integrations as a card above them.
PhoneSettings in the Menu tab. It opens on a list of rows you tap into, one screen at a time, and there is a search box at the top of that list.

Settings is owner-only on both. The two layouts are genuinely different right now — the desktop tab names and the mobile row names do not match one-for-one, so ask for the one you are on.
