DeskOps runs in the browser and installs to your home screen from there, with its own icon, no browser bars, and the same sign-in — there is nothing to download from an app store. Below 780 pixels wide it switches to a layout built for a phone: a bottom bar (Home, Get Paid, Work, Ask Des, Menu), + New at the top for adding things, and one screen at a time for Settings. It is the same product with the same numbers, laid out for a thumb.

On an iPhone: in Safari, tap ••• at the bottom right, then Share, then View More, then Add to Home Screen, then Add. On an older iPhone, Share sits directly in the bottom bar. On Android: in Chrome, tap the ⋮ menu at the top right, then Install app or Add to Home screen, and confirm. Once installed, DeskOps opens full-screen from its icon and push notifications become possible; in a normal browser tab there is nothing for a notification to arrive in.
On a phone

Five tabs: Home, Get Paid, Work (the jobs board and the schedule), Ask Des, and Menu, which holds every other page in groups with a search box that jumps you to a page or a setting by name. A field seat's bar is My Jobs, Schedule and Ask Des instead. The + New at the top of the screen opens quick add: New invoice, New quote, Log a payment, Log an expense, Book a job, Add customer — each straight into a form, and only the ones your seat may do. Help & docs is under Menu.
On a phone

Phonea quiet banner appears when the connection drops and clears when it is back.
DeskOps needs a connection to read or write your numbers; it does not keep an offline copy of your books on the phone. When the connection drops, the app says so with a calm banner rather than spinning, and tells you when it is back. Anything you were typing stays on the screen until you can send it. Money numbers refresh on their own when you return to the app after a while, so a page you left open in the truck is not stale when you look at it again.

Cmd-K opens the palette — type a page name or an action and press Enter. Cmd-/ opens Help & docs. The g shortcuts jump between pages: g then d for Home, g r for Money, g t for Taxes, g c for Customers, g m for Team, g a for Ask Des, g g for Goals, g s for Settings. Esc closes whatever is open. The cheat sheet itself is on the ? key, and the ⋯ by your name at the bottom of the sidebar holds Help & docs, Sign out, and the legal links.
