What is the "September ended" line on Home?

In the first seven days of a month the owner sees one quiet line for the month that just ended: income, expenses and net, to the cent, read from your books — everything posted to that month, with invoices counted when they were sent and payments when they arrived. It appears only when the books carry every payment and expense from that month; if something is still arriving, like a bank import from the last day, the line stays away until the books catch up, rather than show a number that could change. It says "closed" only when your books have formally closed the month; otherwise it says "ended". Books › opens the full picture.
