Does the AI actually use my uploaded documents?

Yes. When the advisor looks things up, your uploads are ranked ahead of the general trade knowledge, so your price book is more likely to be what it reads first. Each document shows a status while it is being processed and only counts once it reads ready. Deleting one removes it from what the advisor can see.
