Why does my Massachusetts quote ask for an identifying number?

The field shows when the Job site state under Job details — or, if that is blank, your business's state — is Massachusetts. Massachusetts home-improvement contracts list the contractor's identifying number (M.G.L. c.142A §2(a)(2)). The statute's list names social security numbers, but DeskOps never asks for or stores one: you choose which number prints — your home-improvement registration number or your business EIN, written as 12-3456789. If what you type looks like a Social Security number, DeskOps refuses it and says why. The number you choose prints with the quote's job details, and the send confirm stops listing it as missing.
