What are "Job details" on a quote?
Job details are optional answers that decide which cancellation rules and state requirements apply: where you are making the deal, the job site's state, home or business, whether an insurance claim is paying, and approximate start and completion dates (these print on the quote). Leave any blank and DeskOps takes the careful reading — it assumes the deal was made at the customer's home, so a cancellation notice is never left off. In California it also asks whether the buyer is 65 or older and whether the repair follows a declared emergency, which give a longer cancellation window; unanswered, the longer window is counted. In Indiana you can add who handles the customer's questions, specifications, anything that could change the completion date, and anyone else supplying labor or materials. On an insurance-claim quote, covering the customer's deductible is refused where banned and flagged elsewhere. Where a state words its own insurance-claim or storm-repair notices, they print on the quote before your customer signs (on a roofing quote, even if you haven't said); where it sets no words, DeskOps tells you instead.
