How does the customer agree to keep a card on file?

If the customer has an email address, Ask for a card sends the consent request in one step. The customer follows the link, enters their card on Stripe's secure page and agrees explicitly. If the request was not emailed, the screen says so and offers a link to copy and share. While that request is open, Cards on file checks automatically and shows when the card arrives; returning to the customer page also refreshes it. An existing saved card does not count as completion of a new request. After Stripe returns the customer, DeskOps checks the recorded consent before confirming that the card is on file. If confirmation is delayed, they can check again without entering the card twice. The confirmation email repeats the exact agreement and when it was given, and carries a Remove this card link the customer can use at any time; saved-card receipts carry it too. Saving remains optional and does not charge the customer. Eligible invoice payment pages also offer Save a card, so the owner does not have to send a separate request every time. The owner can see the card's last four digits, consent date and exact agreement, and use Remove when the customer asks to withdraw consent.
