Only if your customer agrees to it for that contract. Creating, pausing or resuming a contract never charges a card, and a card saved on file does not count as agreement. It needs Stripe connected and card payments on. Turn on Email automatically first, then use Ask to pay automatically: your customer gets a secure Stripe page showing the exact amount, how often, and the first date, and enters a card for that plan only. From then on, each new invoice is emailed first and charged to that card after. A charge of a different amount is emailed to them at least 10 days before it happens. If the invoice changes after that, nothing is charged at the old amount: your customer is emailed the new amount and a new date at least 10 days out, and you are told. Every receipt carries a Stop automatic payments link, and you can Turn off at any time. A missed payment is never charged late; you are both told. A one-time setup fee rides on the first invoice only: $59 plus a $25 setup fee is $84 first, then $59. A contract billed through your own Stripe account is emailed and collected by Stripe instead; automatic payments here are for contracts DeskOps invoices.
