Can I bill a job in progress draws, hold retainage, or split one bill between payers?

ComputerOpen Get Paid, then open the invoice for the whole contract and Split into draws.
PhoneOpen Get Paid, then open the invoice and Split into draws.

Where enabled, split an unpaid original DeskOps invoice into draws whose percentages or amounts sum exactly to its total. The source is voided. Draw 1 is sent if the source was sent, otherwise drafted. Send later draws in order; retries return the same draw. Hold up to 50% retainage and release it once after the last draw. Voided draws remain marked unbilled and are excluded from retainage.

To split between payers, open Split into draws and choose By payer. Each share has its own recipient, invoice and payment link; it cannot use another payer's saved card. A draw, payer share, or retainage invoice cannot itself be split: choose either draws or payer shares for the original invoice. You cannot split a draw again between homeowner and insurer. If both are needed, choose one supported plan. A payment on a draw does not record which payer sent it; only payer shares keep payers apart (a memo can note who paid). Never add a separate invoice for money already in the original or its draws. Processor-hosted invoices cannot be split. Signed-quote deposits/balances work separately. Des can guide you; you confirm the split in the app.
