How do customer referral links work?

Every customer has their own share link. Copy it, or use Text from my phone, which opens your phone's messages with the link written in — DeskOps only notes that you opened it, because it cannot know whether you sent it. Anyone new who asks for a quote or books through that link is credited to the customer who sent them once you take them on — when you quote them, book them or approve their booking — and both records show it: Referred by on one, Sent you N customers on the other, and Referral as the new customer's lead source. A customer using their own link, a repeat click, or someone already on your list counts for nothing, and the link never shows who sent it. Write down the reward you gave in your own words — DeskOps moves no money — and, if you like, send a thank-you from your business that you read before it goes and that never names who they sent. Receipts can carry the link too: Settings → Get booked from your website.
