Can I turn off extra assists?

Yes. Extra assists are on by default so Des never stops in a busy month, and you are in control of them: turn the switch off and nothing past your included assists is ever charged — when they are used, Des pauses until your month resets and everything else keeps working. Leave it on and set a monthly limit on extras — $10 unless you choose another amount — and extras stop there. You can change either any time, and turning extras back on returns the limit you had. Only the owner sees this switch; anyone else on your team who meets a pause is told the day Des is back, and you get one short email about it.
